Job Summary
This Part-Time Associate Director (Marketing), role is to support the Director through specialized tasks, particularly with marketing and outreach. IU Ride's 2 Associate Directors are the morale boosters, celebrating and promoting the other employees' hard work and dedication. They work together with the Director to create, test, and implement innovative new ideas to improve the service. The 2 Associate Directors work in tandem with the Director to keep the service running at the highest possible standard.
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Creates promotional material in cooperation with Auxiliary Marketing Services to ensure that it meets IU brand guidelines
- Coordinates IU Ride's presence with Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll Event during welcome week, including activity planning, staffing, and getting necessary materials
- Manages IU Ride's social media (tweeting out vehicle replacements, closure dates, general info, dank memes, etc., and maintaining an engaging presence)
- Works with media outlets like the Indiana Daily Student for IU Ride outreach
- Works in the vans as either a Driver or a Navigator to better understand the service and form relationships with coworkers
Shared Duties with Management Team
- Helps with hiring Initiatives and Training
- Works with data to come up with new ideas to improve the service
- Helps write the Annual Report
- Responsible for Emergency Response
- Plans the Fall and Spring Staff Meetings
- Plans and prepares for the Part-Time Jobs Fair
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required
- Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University
- 20 years old to drive
- 18 years old to navigate
SKILLS
Required
- Ability to maintain a positive mindset
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including while communicating via phone calls
Additional Information
This position is for Academic year 23-24 but will be filled and begin training this semester

Advertised Salary
$14 per hour
Work Hours
Works during the summer months
Minimum of 10 hours per week for Associate Director duties PLUS approximately 5-10 hours per week for Driver or Navigator duties
Ability to work for at least 15 hours a week, including weeknights and weekends
Ability to work as late as 2:45AM
