Title: Marketing Intern
Location: Toronto Head Office
Reporting To: National Retail Marketing Director

Job Description

Assisting in coordination and execution of National Marketing communication, events, and programs by:

• Creating and maintaining relationships with Marketing Managers to support with site queries and requests, tracking of marketing initiatives, and scheduling meetings as needed
• Gather monthly gift card, website, traffic, newsletter, and social media metrics to compile into reporting templates for internal and external stakeholders
• Support the Digital Manager with the content toolkit development strategy by tracking monthly toolkits, coordinating deployment, and providing suggestions for enhancements
• Manage the coordination and support of research reports by utilizing the Environics tool; conduct monthly check-ins with various departments, develop reports following special events and news releases, dwell and traffic time reports, competitor reports, and others as needed
• Assist with the development of the annual marketing plan process; collaborate with research provider to obtain plan packages and coordinate with shopping centres
• Create project management schedules, coordinate national and external meetings as required, and oversee marketing initiatives calendar to ensure marketing goals and objectives are on track for delivery
• Provide support with vendor invoicing, payment, and cost tracking by working with other departments to create an accounts payable process
• Other duties as assigned by the National Marketing Director or Digital Manager.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience in Retail or Hospitality, preferred marketing, advertising, and special events;
• Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and preferred Canva;
• Excellent project planning, research and analytical skills;
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a solution focused approach to challenges
• Social media and digital marketing savvy with experience using cloud marketing tools like Emplifi and website CMS
• Detail oriented self-starter with strong organizational, and time management skills;
• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, vendors, and various stakeholders to provide support and complete projects;
