Position Summary/Description:
The Marketing and Engagement Manager will serve as an catalyst of UNC's I&E programs, supporting faculty, staff and students and act as a liaison between the UNC I&E community and external constituents including industry, media, alumni, investors and community to support the Chancellor's Economic Development Strategy being implemented by Innovate Carolina.
The goal of the role is to help forge marketing and engagement strategies for building and maintaining healthy business relationships with stakeholders that promote the advancement of innovation and entrepreneurship and assure the commercial success of our partners at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in the community.
The Marketing and Engagement Manager will identify efficient processes and techniques to increase the engagement with industry to successfully execute the economic development strategy. This will include documenting the relationship and how it will successfully include deliverables and commitments between the industry partners/community and Innovate Carolina. They delegate tasks to the project team, subcontractors, monitor the various projects' progress, and adjust plans as needed. This role also works with the marketing team to develop promotional techniques, creating brand awareness on various platforms to reach the target audience.

Education and Experience:
Leadership team experience in an entrepreneurial or corporate environment; Experience with university policies and procedures
