Job Summary

Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the Federal Work Study (Student Only) part-time position of Marketing & Communications Assistant. This position will support the department with daily work related to website, social media and marketing.

Job Duties:

• Reviewing college websites for broken links and inventory of necessary updates
  
• Taking photos/videos at student events; curating content for social media
  
• Helping with student interviews for various marketing/communication pieces
  
• Simple graphic design projects
  
• Proofreading and reviewing various written materials
  
• Social media support/assistance
  
• General office support
  
• Other duties as needed
  

Minimum Qualifications:

Student will assist the Marketing & Communications staff with daily work such as website management, proofreading, copy writing, graphic design, photography, videography, social media, and more. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Power Point, Excel, and others.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  
• Dependable and able to stick to a work schedule
  
• Prefer knowledge/familiarity with basic design software and tools (Canva, Adobe Suite).
