Position Summary
The incumbent will contribute to the various aspects of marketing and outreach for the Department of Surgery. The Associate will assist with the planning, creation, and execution of internal communications, external communications, marketing collateral (i.e., brochures), and much more.
Responsibilities
- Assists and supports the strategic communications team with various departmental marketing and communications projects, and performs additional support tasks.
- Supports in maintaining updated content across all departmental and institutional websites.
- Assists in the creation of and updates to promotional materials for departmental divisions, programs, and special events.
- Supports internal and external communications, including the weekly newsletter and organizational announcements.
- Manages digital content (video, photography, graphics, etc.) required for web and social media distribution.
- Collaborates with appropriate institutional partners to cross-promote programs, events, content, etc. on various platforms.
- Provides support in gathering metrics and outcomes for digital marketing campaigns and web-traffic performance.
- Collaborates with staff on new ideas, directions and tools for marketing and communications.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s Degree or equivalent in education and 2yrs experience required
Other Requirements
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Canva, Trello, Slack.
- Strong familiarity with social media outlets including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, and to be able to communicate directly with various personnel at the hospital such as physicians, their staff and other healthcare professionals.
