Landon seeks a Director of Communications and Marketing for the 2023-24 school year.  Candidates from diverse backgrounds and perspectives are encouraged to apply.  Key responsibilities of the Director of Communications and Marketing include

• Overseeing the school’s messaging and branding efforts
• Managing the school’s website and all other digital assets and outlets
• Collaborating on strategy and tactics with the Admissions and Development offices on marketing and development projects
• Serving as the primary media contact for the school and working with the school community to determine the appropriate opportunities for media cooperation, relationship building, outreach, and crisis communications
• Establishing and executing an advertising plan and editorial calendar with an emphasis on SEO, ORM, and social media in cooperation with Admissions and Head of School
• Leading all members of the communications team by helping to set annual goals and providing constant and consistent feedback

Qualifications for the position include

• Knowledge of content management systems, database systems, and digital asset management systems
• Advanced knowledge of social media platforms and usage
• Understanding of Google analytics and other data tracking systems
• Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign
• Understanding of creative publishing platforms including Canva
• Experience in media, marketing, or a related field
• A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of independent schools is preferred
