Description:
The School of Business at Portland State University seeks candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track position in Marketing to teach 36 credit hours of sales and/or marketing courses per academic year. Requirements for the position include (1) a Master's degree in a relevant field, (2) recent, demonstrated excellence in teaching, (3) an interest in teaching in both traditional in-person as well as online modes, and (4) knowledge of, and experience with, contemporary sales and marketing strategies and practices. The position will also entail a limited amount of service activities to either the University, the School of Business or Marketing area.
The preferred candidate will be someone who can enhance student learning and skills development by leveraging a successful industry track record and the ability to bring real world experience to the creation of successful sales and marketing strategies. In addition, the School seeks candidates whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
The Bachelor of Business: Marketing degree program is one of the five largest majors at PSU, and annually graduates about 200 students. The program prepares students for a broad range of marketing careers including account management, digital marketing, market management, marketing research and analytics, professional selling and strategic market planning.
