Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar seeks applicants for a Teaching track position at the Assistant Professor level in Marketing beginning in the Fall Semester, 2025. This is a career-oriented appointment with primary responsibility for teaching and contributions to the educational mission of the undergraduate Business Administration program in Doha, Qatar. The position also provides support for the pursuit of research interests.
Carnegie Mellon?s undergraduate Business Administration program has earned global recognition for its approach to the study of business management as a science. The program emphasizes a quantitative, analytical approach, training students in the foundations of business. We seek an engaging colleague who is passionate about teaching.
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar operates in concert with several other American and European branch campuses under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation?s Education City. The branch campus closely follows the admissions requirements and English language curriculum of the home campus, which awards all degrees. The several thousand students in Education City represent diverse nationalities. CMUQ?s faculty includes professionals hired specifically to the campus and seconded faculty from the main campus. CMUQ?s primary focus is undergraduate education in Business Administration, Biological Sciences, Computer Science and Information Systems.
Carnegie Mellon offers teaching track appointments with multi-year contracts and promotion opportunities. While entry and advanced level candidates will be considered, the appointment will be made at the Assistant Teaching Professor level.
The position offers a competitive salary, travel and housing allowances and other benefit packages, which may include attractive research and professional development support. A reasonable teaching load allows time for quality teaching, research and close involvement with students, faculty and the local business and educational community.
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field (Quantitative) at the time of appointment, outstanding teaching skills, and a passion for student and community engagement.

3) Teaching Statement
4) Diversity Statement that outlines how the candidate has contributed to or plans to contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The statement may Include past examples of or future plans to help the learning and growth of students from diverse backgrounds. These examples or plans can be in the form of activities/initiatives conducted/planned both in-class and outside the class.
5) Three reference letters. Candidates should arrange for letters to be sent by the time of the first interview directly through Interfolio.
6) Any additional supporting documentation that may include representative professional, scholarly work, and/or evidence of effective teaching, for example, sample syllabi, assessments developed by the candidate, innovative instructional techniques, and teaching and course evaluations.
