The Marketing Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of department, including planning and executing marketing and communication campaigns, measuring results, reporting on campaigns, as well as working on digital content. This role will also assist with planning and executing departmental events and employee engagement initiatives.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports recruitment and marketing managers on developing, launching and executing multiple marketing campaigns to generate leads.
- Successfully supports marketing campaign development and execution, with attention to detail, project milestones and deadlines.
- Collaborates with marketing to build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
- Edits, publishes and shares content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
- Collaborates with the marketing and events team on special projects as needed.
- Assists to plan and facilitate email cadence and email platform maintenance (Constant Contact).
- Website maintenance (WordPress).
- Reviews and edits promotional materials for web, print and digital media maintain and comply with university standards for all publications and promotional materials. Helps to disseminate/advertise events and programming.
- Actively track metrics (open rates, click rates, engagement rates, participation rates, etc.) and analyzes outcomes associated with communications and programming; manages databases (Google Analytics, Qualtrics, etc.) and assists with custom surveys. Prepares and submits invoices and costs associated with events and programming.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree.
- Excellent project management, technical, communication (both written and oral), organizational and interpersonal skills; a self-motivated individual with a high degree of reliability, accuracy and productivity.
- Ability to work independently in an environment of multiple and competing priorities and projects; anticipate and resolve problems and update supervisor on status of projects.
- Good professional judgment, initiative, and confidence.
- Ability to work independently and also have the ability to function as part of a team, coordinating with multiple constituencies.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.
- Service-oriented communicator who is a true team player.
- Strong creative and problem-solving skills, organizational skills, event management, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
- Experience with website maintenance.
- Photography and videography skills.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification and three years related experience.

$18.91 - $29.32 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.Accommodation
