Position Summary/Description:
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for providing strategic, forward-thinking marketing strategy, planning and content creation in support of the Campaign for Carolina, the University's largest ever fundraising campaign, and the University's overarching strategic goals and objectives. The Marketing Manager will demonstrate the ability to identify, implement, and evaluate marketing and communications strategies, content and programs directly related to UNC-Chapel Hill schools, units and campaign initiatives. Tactics include branding, marketing, public relations, advertising, social media, promotion of events, and print and online communications.
As part of the development communications team, and reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, creation, and implementation of marketing content for campaign initiatives and affinity groups. The Marketing Manager will work directly with development and communications staff across the University to develop campaign communications plans and provide a portfolio of campaign materials. The Marketing Manager will work closely with development directors within the schools and units to define and craft individualized messages appropriate for each individual constituency.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
