Job Summary Plays a critical role on the ACES Office of Marketing Communications (Marcom) team. Providing support in developing and implementing marketing strategies that support building the ACES brand and the college's reputation is key for this role. Serves as a team lead for units like Advancement, Corporate Relations, and ACES Online to manage a portfolio of projects to support their marketing and communications needs. Works closely with the Director of Marketing to maintain relationships for the success of department and college-level marketing initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing
Serve as team lead providing marketing support including coordinating strategy, tactics, and implementation for college units like ACES Advancement, Corporate Relations, and ACES Online.
Collaborate with Marcom staff to help conceptualize, plan, and produce marketing efforts for a range of audiences and objectives.
Help identify needs and develop training guides for tools and branded templates for departments and units.
Assist in developing and implementing new marketing initiatives and activities to support the brand and achieving the college's goals related to revenue and advancement.
Work closely with Marcom project manager to provide support with the planning, development, and execution of all projects with other departments and units to ensure consistency and branding guidelines are met.
Help coordinate sponsorship and advertising campaign assets to ensure timely and effective efforts in support of growing brand awareness and revenue.
Proactively monitor, prioritize, and manage projects in project management software. React quickly, efficiently, and enthusiastically to quick-turn assignments.
Other
Work closely with staff involved in events to ensure the college is properly branded and represented at all internal and external events.
Help manage campuswide photo shoots.
Oversee and manage the ACES merchandise catalog to support the college and its departments and units. This would include managing materials and fulfillment.
Manage price quotes, production orders, fulfillment, and payment for external resources with outside vendors related to external production and resources that are used for brand implementation and handle all aspects of needs.
Assume additional-related responsibilities to enhance the mission of the unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a closely related field.
One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.
Demonstrated experience with Adobe Cloud including the use of Adobe Express for template building.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5004 - Marketing Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible. The salary range for this position starts at $45,000. Out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver's License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.
