The purpose of this position is to provide detail-oriented and creative support for the digital communication efforts of state pharmacy association clients. The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in executing social media strategies, creating email campaigns, and preparing newsletters, all aligned with pre-established communication plans and content calendars. This part-time, remote role (20 to 30 hours/week) offers potential growth to a full-time position as the business expands. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, content creation, and managing diverse client needs.
Compensation:
$20-26/hr; commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties of Position:
Draft and schedule social media posts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) using provided calendars and brand guidelines
Build and send email campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar
Assemble and distribute monthly or bi-weekly e-newsletters
Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely delivery of content
Track campaign performance and compile basic engagement reports per client
Assist with occasional updates to websites or event pages (no coding experience required)
Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role (internships included)
Familiarity with email marketing platforms and social media scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Buffer, Later)
Excellent written communication and editing skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects
Experience working with nonprofit or association clients is a plus but not required
Self-starter who is comfortable working independently in a remote setting
