The director will have primary responsibility of the direct mail side of an integrated direct response mail and online fundraising program. This role will use proven strategies and tactics to increase the overall donor base and achieve fundraising goals use proven strategies and tactics to support.
Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and direct marketing production calendar.
Develop effective annual giving direct response strategies to increase donor growth and retention.
Track, analyze and report direct marketing results, trends and projections.
Manage program budget, ensuring appropriate use of funds, timely reimbursement of vendors, acquisition of inventory, and measurable return on investment.
Support identification of donors who show promise for major gift potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to successfully integrate direct marketing and online giving campaigns.
Collaborate with colleagues in VUMC development communications and VUMC strategic marketing, as needed, regarding design and messaging for direct mail appeals, acknowledgements, e-mail appeals, and on-line giving pages.
Ensure all annual giving activity is in compliance with VUMC policies and protocols.
Collaborate with VUMC development stewardship to communicate the impact of gifts.
