Description
WALGREENS is seeking a Market Pharmacist to oversee clinical and operational pharmacy performance across multiple locations. In this role, you will ensure safe, accurate dispensing, provide patient-centered counseling and immunizations, and drive medication therapy management and quality initiatives. You will support and mentor pharmacy teams, promote an inclusive, customer-first culture, and partner with providers to expand community-based healthcare services. This position requires a strong focus on regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and innovation to deliver accessible, high-quality care.Oversee safe, accurate dispensing and verification of medications across assigned Walgreens locations.
Provide clinical counseling, MTM, and immunizations to improve patient outcomes and adherence.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Walgreens policies, and quality/safety standards.
Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy teams, fostering a customer-first, inclusive culture.
Monitor pharmacy performance metrics, drive operational efficiency, and implement best practices.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to expand clinical services.
Support digital health and innovative care programs to enhance accessible community-based care.
Manage inventory, controlled substances, and loss prevention to meet service and regulatory requirements.
Pharmacology and therapeutics
Medication therapy management (MTM)
Immunization administration
Pharmacy operations management
Regulatory and compliance (Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA)
Third-party billing and insurance adjudication
Medication safety and quality assurance
Clinical counseling and patient education
Electronic health records and pharmacy systems (e.g., IC+, EHRs)
Inventory and controlled substances management

Active Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice
